IFA Regional Vice President, Jer Bergin, is the Association's Climate Change and Renewables spokesman.  He is a beef, sheep and tillage farmer from Ballacolla, Co. Laois.  He represents IFA on Climate Change and Renewable issues in Ireland and Europe.  He recently launched an IFA policy document entitled Harnessing the Potential of Ireland's Agriculture & Forestry for Renewable Energy Production & Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, which outlines an essential stimulus package required to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the economy's dependence on imported fossil fuels and the ability to create employment in the agric-renewable sector.

Thomas Ryan is the IFA Environmental Executive, with policy responsibility for Climate Change.
