The IFA Infrastructure Section negotiates rights and entitlements for farmers with national organisations such as the National Roads Authority (NRA), ESB and Bord Gais Eireann.  In addition, the Association negotiates with private organisations such as Shannon LNG. 

The objective of the Infrastructure Section is to ensure that farmers' receive the maximum entitlement possible where and infrastructure project take place and that the rights and entitlements of the landowner is always protected.

Environment Committee Chairman Pat Farrell arranges and directs the many negotiations which take place.
