
Shellfish Producers Local Authorities are in the process or have already completed the application process for urban wastewater discharges for existing discharge points around the country. Many of these points are in or close to aquaculture production areas. IFA Aquaculture has met the EPA and secured a commitment that all licences in or adjacent to shellfish areas will include clauses to ensure they comply with both Classification and Shellfish Waters Designation regulations. Copies of applications, correspondence and licences are all freely available here.
