Milk Production Partnerships

In the 1990's, IFA was instrumental in researching Milk Production Partnerships in Europe, particularly France, and ultimately, together with other organisations like Macra, ICOS and Teagasc, persuaded the Department of Agriculture to provide Production Partnerships in the milk sector.  While the Partnership legal framework must be demanding and restrictive, it offers farmers whom the formula suits considerable advantages in terms of efficiencies, economies of scale, and last but not least, quality of life.

IFA has already obtained many improvements in the scheme and is committed to seeking further improvements on an ongoing basis.
