On the first day, the Council is expected to agree on the 2017 and 2018 fishing opportunities for certain deep-sea fish stocks.

Ministers will hold a first exchange of views on Commission’s proposal on a multi-annual plan for demersal stocks in the North Sea.

On the second day, the Commission will present study on the cumulative effects of trade agreements on the EU agricultural sector and the final report of the agricultural markets task force.

Ministers will also hold a policy debate on research and innovation in agriculture. Over a working lunch, ministers will discuss the Common Agricultural Policy post 2020.
