Sheep Welfare Scheme Deadline Extended
If you haven’t yet returned your Sheep Welfare Scheme renewal or new entrant form, the closing date has been extended to Friday, February 9th.
If you are in the Sheep Welfare Scheme, you must return a form to confirm you wish to continue to participate in Year 2 of the scheme. This form should have been sent to you and must be returned by February 9th. Forms can also be submitted online at www.agfood.ie.
New entrants to sheep farming can apply to join the scheme for 2018.
A new entrant is an applicant who applied for a new herd number between January 1st, 2017 and December 31st 2017 or a farmer with an existing herd number who has not held or traded in sheep in the 2 years prior to October 31st in the preceding year.
