How digital is your country? Europe improves but still needs to close digital gap
The European Commission presents today the results of the 2017 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), a tool summarising the performance of the 28 Member States in a wide range of areas, from connectivity and digital skills to the digitisation of businesses and public services. EUROSTAT: January 2017 compared with December 2016- Volume of retail trade down by 0.1% in euro area- Up by 0.1% in EU28
In January 2017 compared with December 2016, the seasonally adjusted volume of retail trade fell by 0.1% in the euro area (EA19), while it rose by 0.1% in the EU28, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In December the retail trade volume decreased by 0.5% in the euro area and by 1.0% in the EU28. Full text available here
