IFA to Meet Branch Members Impacted by Irish Water Project to Ensure Robust Submissions Are Made

IFA National Environment and Rural Affairs Chairman Harold Kingston has said that meetings will take place in the coming weeks with members impacted by Irish Water’s proposed project to bring water from the Parteen Basin in Tipperary into the Midlands and Eastern regions.

“Over 500 landowners may be impacted by this major infrastructure project. It is absolutely essential that all landowners affected engage in the process, and that Irish Water listens to and addresses genuine concerns raised by farmers.”

IFA will continue meeting with Irish Water and advise IFA members of the details surrounding the proposed project and best approach when making submissions. The deadline for submissions to Irish Water is 4 February 2016.
