IFA President Joe Healy has acknowledged the confirmation by the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed of a fodder import scheme for €4,25m as another important element identified in IFA’s Drought Action Plan.
IFA President Joe Healy has acknowledged that a number of measures to deal with the drought conditions have been introduced, but momentum has to be continued.
IFA President Joe Healy said a fodder import scheme will have to be part of the Government’s response to the drought conditions as soon as possible to give co-ops and merchants the best chance of sourcing fodder from other countries.
