Teagasc Information Meetings on Teagasc Pig Levy

Teagasc have drafted a proposal for a new levy with the option for an increase in this levy for the next 5 years. The proposal has been discussed with the stakeholder group and the IFA Pigs committee and Teagasc would like to discuss the contents of this proposal with all pig farmers.

This is a opportunity for every pig farmer, if you avail of Teagasc pig services or not, to hear the levy proposal and to have your say at number of small information meetings.

Due to COVID19 the amount of people participating in these meetings will be limited but different locations and times will be available. The meeting will enforce social distancing and will be limited to 2 hours. The dates and times are:

Tuesday 28th of July in Moorepark Morning session (10am)

Afternoon session (2pm)

Evening session (5pm)

Wednesday 29th of July in Ballyhaise Morning session (10am)

Afternoon session (2pm)

Evening session (5pm)

In order to facilitate social distancing please confirm by phone or email when you would prefer to attend the meeting to Maria McDonagh in IFA or Edgar Garcia Manzanilla, Teagasc . If you are not able to attend any of these sessions or you prefer not to attend a meeting with more people due to the risk please contact us and we will explore other options.
