Voting for Connacht Regional Chairman Begins on Monday

IFA National Returning Officer Jer Bergin has announced that voting to elect a Regional Chairman for Connacht will begin on Monday.

There are two candidates for the position: Eddie Davitt (Sligo) and Padraic Joyce (Mayo). Voting will take place at the five Connacht County Executives. A debate will take place between the two candidates in Leitrim, Roscommon and Galway, before members vote. In the home counties of the candidates, there will be no debate before members cast their vote.

Those entitled to vote are: Branch delegates (up to four), County officers, representatives on National Committees and two Macra representatives.

The Election Count will take place next Friday, 24th June.
