IFA President to Discuss next CAP at ASA Conference

The IFA President Francie Gorman will take part in a panel discussion at the ASA Conference on Thursday afternoon in the Killashee Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare.

The theme of the hour-long discussion is: Generational Renewal, Land Access and Sector Resilience under the new CAP.

The other contributors are Barry Cowen, MEP; Josephine O’Neill, President, Macra;

Paul Nolan, Dawn Meats; and Dr Fiona Williams, Harper Adams University.

There will be a presentation from Barry Cowen, setting the scene regarding CAP and generational renewal.

“These are important and timely topics as the next CAP takes shape. Our focus at the moment is very much on the overall budget as the political will to tackle long-term challenges will not be forthcoming is there isn’t an adequate budget.”
