Refer a friend to join IFA today and be in with a chance to drive away with a Toyota Hilux worth over €50,000 along with an FBD insurance voucher and a one-year digital and print subscription to the Irish Farmers’ Journal.* Both the main member (referrer) and the new member (referee) will be automatically entered into the monthly and overall competition. This competition will run until March 31^st 2027. 

Monthly Winners: Eight winners will be drawn monthly to be in with a chance of winning a year’s subscription to the Irish Farmers Journal. The associated referrer or referee associated with the record drawn will also win a year’s subscription to the Irish Farmers Journal.

Terms & Conditions

1. Competition Timeline
The IFA refer a friend competition will run from April 7th 2026 until March 31st 2027.

2. How the Programme Works
A main IFA member (“Referrer”) may refer a friend (“Referee”) by forwarding the referral link by text or email.
A referral is considered successful only when the Referee completes the qualifying action which is joining IFA as a full new main member.
Each month, all referrers and referees that qualify in that calendar month will be entered into a draw for a monthly prize of a one year subscription of the Irish Farmers Journal.
On April 1^st 2027 a draw will take place for the overall prize of a Toyota Hilux and a years car insurance with FBD and a year’s subscription to the Irish Farmers Journal.
Self-referrals are strictly prohibited
 
3. Prizes & Marketing
The monthly prize is a years free subscription of the Irish Farmers Journal.
The overall prize is a Toyota Hilux and a years car insurance to the maximum value of €2,000 and a year’s subscription to the Irish Farmers Journal.
No cash alternative for any prizes will be offered.
Winners will be selected at random through a computerised draw. Winners selected will be final.
By entering this competition, the winners agree to participate in all Marketing, promotion and PR.
This is a member promotion and is not available in conjunction with any other IFA member promotions. The vehicle depicted in all advertising materials is for illustrative purposes only. The Toyota Hilux awarded to the overall winner will be the new 2027 model, which may differ in colour, appearance and specifications.
 
4. Eligibility 
This member referral competition rewards existing members who refer new, main members paying to the IFA. The new joiner is also rewarded with a competition entry.
The scheme is open to current main IFA members with an active membership within the active dates of the referral competition. Should the main member’s membership lapsed prior to the final competition draw date, the member’s entry will not be valid for entry.
The new joiners membership must still be valid on the final competition draw date in order to qualify for entry into the final competition.
Referrals must be new, full-paying members who have not held IFA membership in the last 24 months from the time the refer a friend competition launch on April 1^st 2026.
Only full main memberships qualify for this referral competition. Family members are not eligible. 
The Refer a Friend competition is open to existing main members and new main members who join through a referral and are aged 18 or over.
Employees, contractors, or agents of IFA will be excluded.
Participation in the refer a friend programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
 
5. Verification
IFA  will verify all referrals between April 1^st  2026 and and March 31^st 2027.
Each referrer and referee will receive one entry once membership is confirmed.
Once confirmed as a member by the IFA membership department, you will receive an email confirming entry into the refer a friend competition.
 
 
6. Exclusions and limitations
Self-referrals are not permitted.  
There is no limit on the amount of new members that a main member may refer. Each member will receive one entry per referee that joins as a full new member.
Referrals submitted after 31st March 2027 will not be valid. 
 
7. Changes to the scheme
IFA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the scheme at any time, with or without notice. 
 Any changes will be communicated via IFA official channels. 
 
8. Privacy & Data protection 
IFA will process member data in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
