Title: Membership Administrator

Position Summary:
The Irish Farmers’ Association is Ireland’s largest farming organisation, representing over 71,000 members nationwide. For more than 70 years, IFA has been at the forefront of advocating for and protecting the interests of Irish farmers, providing strong representation and support across all sectors of agriculture.
Reporting to the Membership Operations Manager, the Membership Administrator plays a key role in delivering an excellent member experience.
The successful candidate will support the administration of membership operations ensuring records, payments, and processes are managed accurately and efficiently while providing a high standard of customer service.
This role combines administration, customer service, financial processing, and operational support. The successful candidate must be highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow established workflows and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of membership activities
- Maintain accurate member records within the membership databases
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly membership activities including payment processing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Respond promptly and professionally to member enquiries by phone and email
- Liaise with third-party service providers regarding operational and technical activities
- Assist with the processing and reconciliation of membership income
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Regional, Sales, and Head Office teams
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, IT providers and other external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and member experience
Experience & Skills:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- 4 – 5+ years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service experience
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Teams, CRM / membership database systems, and payment tools
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and consistently delivers high-quality work
