There was no change to Irish pig prices from those quoted last week. Prices then were €2.17 – €2.22 available from processors in ROI.
The average European price for a grade E carcass pig for week 43 was €213.3/kg which is 7.5% higher than prices for the same week last year according to the Commission, however, it is back -0.9% on last week’s average price and -5.5% on last month’s prices.
The weekly throughput figures for ROI for week ending November 5th were 56,620 of which 1,511 were sows.
