Markets are stable at present and should increase with the lead into Christmas. There is good demand reported for prepack quality material. Demand for the peeling market should improve in December, trade has been slow this year to date. There are reports of some quality issues due to dry conditions during the summer.
Across Europe, colder weather has finally arrived but the very mild Autumn temperatures to date have accelerated dormancy break and growers are anxious to clear stock from temporary stores. Markets are poor for free buy and export markets are also very competitive.
