Consumption increased for both retail and food service over the past two weeks with the Easter break. Weather conditions are still impeding planting progress. With the rising cost of production, many growers are still deciding on what is the best course of action for the upcoming season.
Across Europe, contracts are falling behind and storage costs are rising. Movement in the fresh markets has shown some improvement recently but it is very unlikely that all stocks will be cleared. Only very best quality is required for export including Agria from Holland to Spain and Africa.
