Bdgp Carbon Navigator Deadline Extended to November 30th
The deadline for farmers participating in the Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP) to complete their 2016 carbon navigators has been extended for a month to November 30th.
Completing a beef carbon navigator is a key element for compliance with BDGP requirements. Farmers have to complete a carbon navigator on their farm by November 30th and this will be updated in each subsequent year. The first carbon navigator must be undertaken with the help of an approved advisor.
20,000 farmers have so farm completed carbon navigators. However, Minister Michael Creed has extended the original deadline of October 31st due to significant pressures on both farmers and advisors.
