IFA Welcomes Investment in Beef Sector by Abp

IFA President Eddie Downey today welcomed the investment of €50m by ABP in the Irish beef processing sector.

Eddie Downey said the announcement by the Taoiseach Enda Kenny on the redevelopment of the ABP site in Cahir Co Tipperary is very positive and will underpin Ireland’s agri-strategy and capacity to service the higher value UK and EU markets. He said this is essential in returning viable prices back to farmers.
