Stronger Lamb Prices
IFA National Sheep Chairman Sean Dennehy said factories are paying €5.10 for lambs with some top offers of €5.15 made.
He said numbers are tight and feeders should dig in and insist on full value for their stock.
Sean Dennehy said the problems with some factories and Department officials on the clean sheep are continuing and this is damaging the the smooth implementation of the clean sheep policy. He said farmers would try to have their sheep as clean as possible but in the current weather conditions, a more practical approach needed to be applied.
