Online Forestry Meeting with Minister Hackett & Jo O’Hara

IFA will be holding an online meeting on Thursday, March 11th from 7.30pm to 9.00pm on the Project Woodland plan.

IFA are delighted to welcome both the Minister of State, Pippa Hackett and the former Chief Executive of Scottish Forestry, Jo O’Hara to an online meeting to give an overview of the Project Woodland plan and the work that is ongoing to implementation the recommendations.

The event will take place over Microsoft Teams and will be chaired by IFA President, Tim Cullinan.


Agenda

The Minister of State Pippa Hackett launched a new strategy for the sector ‘Project Woodland’ on Thursday, 25th February. The initiative aims to tackle issues in forestry in Ireland and drive forward the planting of trees.

Jo O’Hara, the former Chief Executive of Scottish Forestry, prepared the report, The Implementation of the Mackinnon report, for the Minister to improve the delivery of forestry licensing processes.
