Have You Completed Your Glas Training Course Yet?

Under the terms of the GLAS scheme, all farmers in the scheme must attend a GLAS Training Course carried out by an GLAS approved trainer in order to comply with the scheme .

Farmers are required to attend the training course by the end of the second full calendar year of their GLAS contract. This means:

• Farmers in GLAS I and GLAS II must attend a training course by December 31st 2017
• Farmers in GLAS III must attend by December 31st 2018.

Each farmer who completes GLAS training will be paid €158. This is paid by the Department to the Trainer who will distribute monies to attendees.

The course must be 6 hours in duration and must be delivered between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
