IFA URGES CO-OPS TO FOLLOW LAKELAND AND GLANBIA LEAD AND PASS BACK TO FARMERS MEANINGFUL AUGUST MILK PRICE INCREASES – MORE THAN 1C/L FOR SOMEDairy
IFA President Joe Healy today said other co-ops must follow the lead of Lakeland and Glanbia, who have increased their August milk price by 1c/l and 2c/l respectively. He added that for some co-ops, including Kerry who did not increase their July milk price, and other co-ops at the low end of the Milk League, lifting the August milk price in a meaningful way would involve more than a 1c/l increase.
IFA President Joe Healy today welcomed Lakeland Dairies’ decision to increase their July milk price by 1c/l, and he said he expects all co-ops to follow suit, in recognition of the growing recovery in dairy markets.
